A terrible gift
19 June 2011 | by SamChen2005 (China) – See all my reviews
This movie is one of most terrible movies I’ve ever seen. By fragmentary story line, distorted historical facts, you can not learn what happened in China in early 1900s, and also can not know why the Communist Party was founded in China at that time. But this is not strange. This movie has been regarded as a gift to celebrate the 90 anniversary of China Communist Party. So what do you expect?
The Communist Party of China has existed for over 90 years, and has dominated China more than 60 years which is a great tragedy for our Chinese people. We loathe it very much, and we will eventually destroy it!!!
worst movie ever in human history, 17 June 2011

Background: what I am talking about here is not the movie story background, as this movie has no story at all anyway. I am talking about the background behind showing this movie in Chinese cinema. All schools and companies are forcing their students and employees to watch this awful movie, no matter u like it or not, thats the direct order from “the party”. so end up 90% of the audiences fell asleep in cinema which including me of course. what ridiculous is “the party” is not allowing “transformer 3” on show unless this movie’s box office reach $xxxxx. w-t-f! just like the movie said, is that the party that loved by their people? I don’t think so.
story: no storyline at all. I understand its all about history, but is that “history” real?? Humm…
actors: awful, worst chairman Mao ever.
overall:really awful, I would rate minus10 if there is an option.
You will learn a lot by watching the scenes behind the film
Fact No. 1: This is the propaganda movie that is made to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Chinese Communist Party.
Fact No. 2: In China, governments, organizations, companies are assigned to buy tickets for their employees
Fact No. 3: In China all new movies are postponed while this movie is playing in theaters to ensure the good box office result.
Fact No. 4: In China all ratings and reviews by users are banned on online except for “official” ones.
Fact No. 5:IMDb.com is also banned in China for preventing Chinese audience from knowing how world audience’s opinion about this movie.
Ironically, from the movie we know that before the CCP, Chinese students could protest in Tiananmen Square without being massacred, and before CCP the Chinese people had the rights to form a party without being banned and persecuted.
When watching this so-called the “Beginning of the Great Revival”, I believe most of the Chinese audience would like see “The End” of the it.
Tribute to Murderous Thugs – Communist Party of China, 24 June 2011
Author: (firstname.lastname@example.org) from Los Angeles, California
This film is a tribute to the Chinese Communist Party, leading up to its founding in 1921. The Party, under Mao Zedong, later murdered approximately 75,000,000 Chinese – a global record dwarfing both Stalin’s and Hitler’s murderous rampage — between 1949 and 1976. Over 100 well known Chinese actors appear in the film, and those who wish to serve the Party and be enriched by its power are supporting this film. The Party still holds complete political control of China, and will ruthlessly eliminate any opposition to its complete control; it abhors freedom. Approximately 10,000 Chinese are executed every year after being sentenced to death in secret trials without due process. Millions of Chinese are imprisoned by the Party at this very moment, for their political or religious beliefs, or simply for being inconvenient to Party leaders. The Party respects no human rights.
